Job Description
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for performing functions in the manufacturing facility. The position will also support billing activities, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
JOB SUMMARY:
Compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data for use in maintaining Accounting records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.
- Reconcile report discrepancies and problems, i.e. general ledger reconciliations.
- Code data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
- Design and execute administrative and financial systems process improvements.
- Assist in budgeting and cost management.
- Verify and post fixed asset transactions, and reconcile to subsidiary ledgers, computer spreadsheets and databases.
- Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability or services.
- Must be flexible and able to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish goals and objectives
- Review and reconcile the perpetual inventory to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
- Analyze the profit margin on all manufactured and purchased parts.
- Daily printing / distribution of invoices.
- Assist with all audits, SOX reviews and compliance issues.
- Other duties as assigned by Plant Controller or Plant Manager.
ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 to 5 years of financial experience in an AUTOMOTIVE manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
- Ability to analyze data and strong mathematical ability
- Ability to establish priorities and multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong working knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
- Strong manufacturing background in quantitative analyses and ability to solve complex problems.
- Knowledge of applicable state, local and federal laws.
- Strong math aptitude and ability to work accurately with numbers.
- Interpersonal skills (relationship building, teamwork, interpersonal insight, conflict resolution, customer orientation).
Salary $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 a year.
