Artic Consulting has an immediate opening for Senior Consultant, Application Development to join our team. This is a full-time, direct-hire, permanent position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take on priorities and provide commitments to the scheduled delivery of software and solutions for Artic clients.
• Participate in detailed design sessions to create solutions including external integration and contractual details with external partners.
• Communicate new ideas to contribute to success for stakeholder or the organization.
• Research effectively and perform technical spikes when a task is outside past experience.
• Good organizational skills and ability to take notes.
• Take advantage of project opportunities to learn new skills through hands-on experience.
• Seek ways to increase level of responsibility.
• Awareness and communication of potential conflicts and risks.
• Ability to identify possible causes of an issue and make suggestions for resolution.
• Raise issues appropriately to management.
• Assist in creation and development of proposals and statements of work in collaboration with Business Development, PM, and other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of software development experience building a product or service
• Fluency in C# and .Net development patterns.
• Ability to develop complex t-SQL for On-Perm or Azure
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure or AWS platforms (at least 2 years of experience)
• Solid experience with build systems.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Technical excellence and commitment to quality.
• Ability to self-start and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead or mentor a team of 2 or more.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior consulting experience strongly preferred
• Excellent thought leadership and management skills
• Strong sense of ownership, teaming attitude, and ability work across a distributed organization
• Proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Relentless proactive planning to eliminate issues and downtime.
• Constant innovation to make Artic better and faster.
• Ability to get ahead of the curve with new technologies and learn quickly (Microsoft Certified prefer)
