RESPONSIBLE TO:
Director of Sales
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Territory Manager for Home Depot will contribute to the company sales objectives by increasing the turf only and product installation for Turf Distributors and Built Rite Construction. This individual will provide world class customer service to Home Depot associates, Home Depot Customers and contractors purchasing from Home Depot. This Territory Manager is expected to train Home Depot associates on our products, acquire new turf sales, acquire installation leads and develop a relationship with key Home Depot associates and customers.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Greets and interacts with customers
II. Consults with customers to understand their needs
III. Demonstrates and explains products, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs
IV. Answers customer’s questions about our product and installation
V. Assists customers with purchase decisions.
Meet sales goals and objectives as assigned by the Director of Sales
Develop and execute daily action plan
Follow up on sales activity to ensure customer satisfaction and client relationship development
Seek avenues to develop new client relationships
Maintain knowledge about all current products and services. Research local competitor’s products and cost points
Track and maintain all leads and accounts in CRM staying current on status
Self-generate leads and contacts by marketing through social media, craigslist, cold calls, etc.
Perform outgoing lead generation calls on a regular basis and track through CRM
Participate in marketing events i.e. trade shows, fairs and in-store events
Help maintain all in store displays, literature and samples
Conduct product/installation training for Home Depot associates, contractors and customers
Communicate with Store Managers and Department Heads
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

IV. Extensive knowledge of the Home Depot
V. Ability to anticipate customers’ needs.
VI. Ability to recommend merchandise to customers.
VII. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
VIII. Knowledge of successful lead generation (cold calling, social media, etc)
IX. Proven track record of providing first-rate customer service, focusing on the customer experience
X. Maintain a positive, up-beat, attitude
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
I. High school diploma or equivalent
II. Minimum of 3 years in sales, preferably in a big box store environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Prior experience with Artificial Turf, Landscape, or flooring sales
II. Fluent in both English and Spanish
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
I. Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
II. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
