    Job Description

    RESPONSIBLE TO:

    Director of Sales

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Territory Manager will contribute to the company sales objectives by increasing sales for Turf Distributors in our Business to Business/Retail channel. This Territory Manager is expected to increase volume at our current B2B partners and acquire new customers by prospecting, networking and engaging new opportunities. This individual will be adept at managing single and multiple location partners while maintaining a consistent pipeline of new business. The Territory Manager must have a strong business acumen with a willingness to think outside the box to identify solutions.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    I. Consults with customers to understand their needs

    II. Demonstrates and explains products, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs

    III. Answers customer’s questions about our product and installation

    1. Meet sales goals and objectives as assigned by the Director of Sales

    2. Develop and execute daily action plan

    3. Follow up on sales activity to ensure customer satisfaction and client relationship development

    4. Maintain knowledge about all current products and services. Research local competitor’s products and cost points

    5. Track and maintain all leads and accounts in CRM staying current on status

      1. Follow up on leads, contacts, referrals and established accounts with frequency
    6. Perform outgoing lead generation calls on a regular basis and track through CRM

    7. Participate in marketing events i.e. trade shows, fairs and in-store events

    8. Help maintain all in store displays, literature and samples

    9. Identify and acquire new business through networking, social media and cold calling

    10. Act as a liaison between sales, marketing and logistics

    11. Provide creative solutions for business growth and opportunity

    12. Ability to receive and accept coaching and development

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    I. Excellent verbal communication skills

    II. Excellent active listening skills

    III. Excellent sales and customer service skills

    IV. Ability to anticipate customers’ needs.

    V. Ability to recommend merchandise to customers

    VI. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    VII. Familiarity of CRM software

    VIII. Knowledge of successful lead generation (cold calling, social media, etc)

    IX. Proven track record of providing first-rate customer service, focusing on the customer experience

    X. Maintain a positive, up-beat, attitude

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    I. High school diploma or equivalent

    II. Minimum of 5 years in sales

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    I. Prior experience with Artificial Turf, Landscape, or flooring sales

    II. Fluent in both English and Spanish

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    I. Prolonged periods of standing and walking

    II. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
