    About the Position:

    Artisans Thrive is seeking a part-time Sales Associate. This position is expected to work roughly 16 hours per week primarily at our shop at the Edgewater Public Market in Northwest Denver. During busier months (summer events, holiday season, etc.), there may be an option to work more than 16 hours per week.

    Artisans Thrive also participates in a variety of markets and pop-ups around Colorado, largely in the Denver Metro Area. This person may be required to work a portion of their 16 hours at these events.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

    • Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features

    • Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

    • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options

    • Remain up-to-date with fashion trends, fair trade, and conscious consumerism

    • Conduct day-to-day visual merchandising, replenishment, and visual standards

    • Complete daily/weekly store management tasks

    • Process POS (point of sale) purchases

    • Create Purchase Orders in POS (point of sale) as assigned

    • Receive inventory (check-in, quality check, tag and place on sales floor)

    • Handle returns of merchandise

    • Follow Vendor Return process for any damaged, missing or broken items

    • Fulfill online orders in a timely manner

    • Add new products to website, Amazon, Etsy as assigned

    • Support Marketing & Communication Associate in social media scheduling as assigned

    • Support Sales Manager in research, coordination and logistics for craft fairs, pop-ups, consignment relationships and in-store events

    • Work events as needed and provide feedback on event

    • Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, merchandising)

    • Make suggestions on product ordering based on feedback from customers and products we are low on

    • Review & make suggestions on product selections when requested

    • Participate in bi-weekly sales team meetings

    • Support Sales Manager with bi-annual inventory count

    • Assist with day-of photoshoots as needed/requested

    • Assist with supporting/training volunteers as needed

    • Support Sales Manager on achieving strategic plan goals as assigned

    • Other tasks as determined

    • Expanded responsibilities will be offered depending on the length of commitment and experience

    Requirements

    • Proven work experience in customer service; retail preferred

    • Passion for female empowerment and fair-trade, ethical fashion (and fashion in general)

    • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

    • Hands-on experience with POS transactions

    • Familiarity with inventory procedures

    • Solid communication and interpersonal skills

    • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus

    • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner

    • Availability to work flexible shifts during both the week and weekend

    • Self-starter and takes initiative

    • Comfortable standing for long periods of time; can lift up to 50 pounds

    • Valid Driver’s License

    • Consistent access to a vehicle for events

    • Consistent access to a SmartPhone (for social media support)

    • Strong knowledge of Google Suite

    Compensation:

    This position is paid hourly at $19/hour. Incentives and pay increases may be available based on performance and longevity. Employee discount at Artisans Thrive and other discounts at Edgewater Public Market vendors.

    Mileage will also be reimbursed when working events for the business.
