Job Overview: As a Project Specialst, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating aspects of project planning and scheduling. You will work closely with stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project plans, track progress, check quality, and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Your expertise in project planning tools and methodologies will be instrumental in driving project success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules based on project scope, objectives, and requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to define project deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Create detailed documentation, including specifications, bill of materials, and manufacturing instructions.
• Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, risks, and dependencies to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
• Review and modify existing designs to improve functionality, efficiency, and aesthetics.
• Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality expectations, making necessary adjustments as needed.
• Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
• Identify and communicate potential project delays or conflicts and propose actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to understand project specifications to ensure effective resource allocation and utilization throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate project performance against established metrics and KPIs, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Implement and maintain project planning tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance overall project management capabilities.
• Stay updated with industry trends, project management techniques, and tools to continually improve project planning processes.
• Learn and be able to efficiently use new software programs to help benefit the company.
• Cross train with co-workers and provide back support when needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree
• Ability to read and understand drawings to create material takeoffs
• Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role, preferably in construction, architecture and interior design industry.
• Experience with project planning and scheduling tools.
• Understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.

• Proficient in Bluebeam software or SketchUp a plus
