Qualified candidates will have a creative, holistic, and systematic approach to problem-solving. The BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER will support one of our clients in the Department of Defense's Army Acquisition Community. 

The BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER will create dashboards and reports to meet the needs of Army Client.  The role will include receiving constant feedback from Senior Leaders and data consumers to update and improve deliverables to meet the dynamic needs of the organization.  Qualified candidates will be able to work independently and communicate issues, risks, and best practices for data consumption to Senior Leaders and Program Managers. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Provide and conduct reporting and dashboard efforts to support program management activities. 
• Design and build reports, charts, dashboards, and presentations in support of Senior Leaders, Directors, and Program Manager. 
• Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies in analytical procedure or cross-functional methods. 
• Interpret business process for inclusion in reporting/dashboard projects. 
• Provide recommendations for operational efficiencies and process improvements and assist in policy development to support change initiatives. 
• May write code to automate reports and templates and consolidate data into reports/dashboards. 
• Support capability development within the delivery organization, including reviews and gap assessments and work to source and deliver strategies. 
• Under general supervision, employee will be expected to exercise sound and independent judgment and consistently exercise discretion.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 

• Bachelor's degree in related technical/business field.  
• 3 years of experience in related field (i.e. Reporting, Analytics, etc.) in federal entities (preferably within the Department of Defense). 
• Strong data analytic skill and ability to leverage statistical/database reporting software specifically PowerBI. 
• Experience with Program Management focused reporting. 
• Strong ability to interpret data and develop actionable data-based visualizations to “tell the story” and aid in business decision making. 
• Proven ability translating technical findings to Senior Leaders in a manner that is easily understandable to those less experienced with analytics.

TOOLS AND PROFICIENCY LEVEL: 

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio) – Intermediate to Advanced application of technology 
• PowerBI
