IF WORKING IN THE VETERINARY FIELD IS YOUR DREAM, WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FRIENDLY AND ORGANIZED RECEPTIONIST TO JOIN OUR ANIMAL CARE TEAM. IN THIS ADMINISTRATIVE ROLE, YOU CHECK-IN OUR ANIMAL PATIENTS, UPDATE THEIR RECORDS AND OWNER INFORMATION, SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS, PROCESS PAYMENTS AND GO OVER TAKE-HOME INSTRUCTIONS WHILE DISCHARGING PATIENTS. MUST BE ABLE TO MULTITASK AS WELL AS ANSWER PHONES. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, COMMUNICATION AND COMPUTER SKILLS ARE REQUIRED.
RECEPTIONIST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PROVIDE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCH AS GREET CUSTOMERS, ANSWER QUESTIONS, PROCESS INCOMING/OUTGOING PATIENTS.
ANSWER PHONE CALLS, WHICH INVOLVES ANSWERING QUESTIONS AND SCREENING AND SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS.
ABILITY TO OPERATE OFFICE TECHNOLOGY SUCH AS COMPUTERS, FAX MACHINES, AND COPIERS.
UPDATE AND FILE PATIENT CHARTS.
ENTER DATA INTO A COMPUTERIZED BILLING PROGRAM.
PROCESS CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS AND PREPARE BANK DEPOSITS.
RETRIEVE PRESCRIPTIONS.
ASSIST WITH PET SUPPLY PURCHASES SUCH AS PET FOOD ITEMS.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
EXPERIENCE WITH CORNERSTONE VETERINARY SOFTWARE IS A PLUS
CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
BASIC MATH SKILLS AND COMPUTER LITERACY
COMFORTABLE WORKING WITH ANIMALS
