    Job Description

    Ascend Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a SR. SOLUTIONS CONSULTANT (SALESFORCE).     PURPOSE

    In this project delivery role, you will be leading and coordinating projects to ensure that our customer’s objectives are accomplished within timelines and budgets. This role will work closely with the customer to understand, prioritize and document business goals and solution requirements. This is a customer-facing role and requires someone who is friendly, knowledgeable and stays calm under pressure.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Prepare and Plan

    • Organize time, project load, and internal/external resources
    • Create and execute project plan/schedule
    • Create an estimation of Effort with Project Milestones (Sales Engineering)
    • Create and Execute Project Plan/Schedule
    • Create and Deliver Regular Project Status Updates

    Design and Configure

    • Document high level user stories in the backlog
    • Collect and document detailed requirements and acceptance criteria
    • Analyze and Evaluate Business and Technology Requirements to Formulate Effective Solutions
    • Configure Salesforce to Fit Business and Technical Requirements
    • Demonstrate Project Delivery, Obtain Feedback, and Adjust as Needed
    • Prioritize backlog for project team
    • Write Test Cases and Facilitate Testing
    • Deliver Project Training

    Lead

    • Provide project management leadership and guidance
    • Deliver project on time, within budget and scope complete
    • Successfully build and nurture long-term customer relationships
    • Prepare presentations and effectively facilitate meetings
    • Track issues and risks, communicate status and escalate concerns to internal and external stakeholders appropriately

    Collaborate

    • Manage a development team on projects providing oversight and leadership through the entirety of the project; this could include customer-side team management.
    • Tactfully work with customers to address out of scope requests and coordinate with key stakeholders to re-align expectations or seek additional scope/budget
    • Create and Deliver Regular Project Status Updates
    • Understand the sales process
    • Understand the Salesforce ecosystem

    Travel up to 15% may be required.

    MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent years of professional experience in a relevant field
    • 5+ years of experience overseeing the technical direction, development, and implementation of Salesforce (SFDC) software solutions
    • Salesforce certifications preferred--Certified Administrator
    • 5+ years of consulting experience
    • In-depth understanding of coding languages (Java, JavaScript)
    • Previous project management experience is advantageous.
    • Possess working knowledge of and a commitment to greater understanding of evolving Salesforce and related technologies
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions that demonstrate good judgment
    • Ability to work independently in a collaborative, open team environment with minimal supervision.
    • Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in business analysis, negotiation, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
    • Efficient communication skills
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills
    • Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases
