TECH 3 (TOP HAND): A successful Tower Tech III is knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of running the tower top and bottom.

2 WEEKS PAID TRAINING AND RE-CERTIFICATION!
REQUIRED TO TRAVEL 2-3 WEEKS AT A TIME. TRAVELING AWAY FROM HOME FOR 50%-90% OF THE YEAR. LODGING PAID FOR BY THE COMPANY
As a TOWER TECHNICIAN III, one will have an expert understanding of the wireless industry due to having 2-3 years’ experience as a TT1 and/or TT2. More than 50% of the time is spent onsite climbing cell towers. One must fully grasp all aspects of the initial training and company safety standards. Tower Technicians III assist the site foreman in developing and planning complete site build (as it pertains to the SOW at hand). Furthermore, they assist foreman in identifying change orders, obstacles, and safety concerns that may impede SOW timeline and possess leadership skills to direct all top side activities. One must have a advanced understanding of safety, color coding, weatherproofing, grounding, equipment installations, rigging, testing and troubleshooting etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow all state and federal safety regulations (OSHA, local turfing vendor, Tower Co., etc.) while working in an efficient and productive manner.
- Required to work at heights, up to 300 feet, installing telecom equipment/materials on towers, monopoles, etc.
- Direct all top side actives and keep in constant communication with the tower foremen on the ground side.
- Assist fellow crew members with tower construction activities including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas and radios, mounting hardware, installing fiber and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antenna and lines.
- Supervise, teach, and coach your crew's newcomers and trainees in order to improve the crew's cohesiveness and to assist your teammates growth and to acquire experience in the industry.
- Perform tower construction activities including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines.
- Use appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, bend, assemble and erect all components necessary for lifting, moving and installing equipment, materials, lines, antennae
- Interprets various documents (e.g. blueprints, diagrams, manufacturer specifications, etc.) to ensure proper installation of antenna systems using technical expertise and knowledge of blueprints and diagrams.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND LABOR:
- Lifting and carrying heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- loading and unloading material and equipment in a warehouse setting and on the construction sites, with and without the assistance of a lift gate.
- Constantly standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, and moving around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.
- Constantly repeating physical motions like lifting arms, grasping tools, and reaching for equipment. Eye/hand/feet coordination crucial.
- Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience as a tower climber.
- Prior hands-on mechanical, construction, electrical, or equivalent working experience is preferred.
- VAILD DRIVERS LICENSE!!
- OSHA 30, NWSA TT1 strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of knots and tower rigging preferred
- Must have or obtain and maintain documented Authorized Climber & Competent Climber/Rescue certification from an accredited institution
- Must have or obtain and maintain OSHA 10 construction training card
- Must have or obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification
- Connector install experience
- Coax, Fiber routing/handling experience
- Top side and bottom side grounding experience
- Accurately complete detailed forms and reports
- Physically able to climb 1000 vertical feet per day
- Ability to perform Tower Rescues
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Desire for full-time, long term W-2 employment

- Onsite at job locations.
