Designer

We are an established woman’s fashion apparel brand with years of steady growth and expansion into different channels of distribution. To be able to support this continued growth, our Design Department is seeking a Designer capable of managing the ever fluid nature of our business. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and will possess a near obsessive attention to detail and deadlines along with the ability to multitask and collaborate with other teams and vendors.

Duties Include

· Collaborating with the design team to develop unique and sellable intimate apparel designs.

· Conducting market research to identify new trends, color stories, fabrics, and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.

· Ability to design into a Collection Plan.

· Collaborating with a cross functional team to select seasonal themes, amend line, and create new concepts.

· Selecting construction details as well as fabrics and trims.

· Tech pack creation in PLM.

· Collaborating with technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate.

· Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to sales team and private label accounts.

· Maintaining all data trackers and spreadsheets on a regular basis.

· Interfacing with oversea partners on product developments and sampling needs.

· Interacting regularly with sales team to identify white-space opportunities and understand consumer needs and wants.

· Actively participating in cross functional meetings and fittings as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

· 5+ years of design experience in intimate apparel or comparable brand environment

· Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent experience

· Solid knowledge of construction, manufacturing, and costing

· Demonstrated ability to create original design sketches and successful product lines.

· Excel and Microsoft office proficiency

· Exceptional talent with a commercial fashion eye and detail in product styling/performance

· Expert in Adobe creative suite – Photoshop & Illustrator

· Excellent verbal and oral communication skills, Flexible and creative problem solver

· Highly motivated, passionate and results oriented.

· WFX (knowledge of this software is a plus)
