We are an established woman’s fashion apparel brand with years of steady growth and expansion into different channels of distribution. To be able to support this continued growth, our Design Department is looking to bring on a Senior Designer capable of managing the ever fluid nature of our business. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and will possess a near obsessive attention to detail and deadlines along with the ability to multitask and collaborate with other teams and vendors.

Duties Include

· Market Research and Color Trend

· Work with Planning to participate to the Collection plan for each collection

· Work with Planning to participate to the creation of a seasonal Calendar based of Sales needs

· Design into collection plans

· Presentations with design options for accounts we sell to

· Re-designs within existing designs library

· Request PP samples in new colors

· Tech pack with Assistant Designers and build instructions, fabric selection and colors

· Design Development

· CAD/tech pack

· Meetings with Private Label customers on designs, updates, and revisions

· Work with other Designers on style revisions or construction options of fit samples

· Email factory responses on product developments

· Design team questions and answers on styles/deliveries/needs

· Design and changes to styles in development

· Suggestions/Revisions on fit and Construction with Designer

· Meeting deadlines discussed

· Designs:

o Reviewing Design Proposals

o Modifications for designs to be cost effective suitable per collection and produced with ease

Qualifications and Skills

· 5+ years of design experience in intimate apparel or comparable brand environment

· Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent experience

· Solid knowledge of construction, manufacturing, and costing

· Demonstrated ability to create original design sketches and successful product lines

· Excel and Microsoft office proficiency

· Exceptional talent with a commercial fashion eye and detail in product styling/performance

· Adobe creative suite on PC

· Excellent verbal and oral communication skills, Flexible and creative problem solver

· Highly motivated, passionate and results oriented

· WFX (knowledge of this software is a plus)
