Your days will vary as responsibilities include designing new components, assembling prototype vehicles, and carrying out flight tests, and developing team support.

If you’re someone who wants to work at the leading edge of aerospace technology where design cycles are short and decisions can be made quickly, this is your kind of environment. Experience with advanced robotics or UAV technology (especially autopilot and flight control logic) would be ideal.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work independently or as a team member to design, build, test and troubleshoot software for autonomous vehicles and ground control stations

· Collaborate with other engineering disciplines in planning, designing, and development of systems to ensure software and hardware performance and compatibility

· Write test plans and test cases, conduct integration and system-level testing

· Create internal tools to assist with development, production, and testing effort

· Design, develop, test and debug software

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field of study and 2-4 years of post-graduate work experience

· Experience developing embedded and application software using C/C++

· Ability to learn and modify existing open-source software in accordance with the needs of the company and its customers

· Familiarity with software development in a Github repository

· Drive to take ownership and responsibility for developing high-quality, fieldable software products

· Experience using basic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.

· Development experience in any of the following areas is desirable: QGroundControl, ArduPilot, Qt/QML, mobile application development

· Enjoys the challenge of solving complex systems problems in a fast-paced environment
