    Position Overview

    The Compliance Analyst is a key member of the Ascent Hospitality Management HR team and reports to the Director, Human Resources. In this newly created, highly collaborative role, you will partner with your HR colleagues and other field team members to evaluate, prioritize, and mitigate employment compliance matters. You will be responsible for HR compliance across all divisions, including EEOC Charges of Discrimination, DOL audits or complaints, OSHA complaint responses, and employment and wage and hour practices. This role will liaison with various stakeholders throughout the organization related to HR compliance. The ideal candidate will be organized, an avid learner to stay up to date on regulations and communicate with ease to all levels within the organization.

    Responsibilities:• Serve as the HR point of contact for internal or external audits or claims including but not limited to DOL investigations, and EEOC claims• Investigation, preparation, and timely filing of routine administrative agency requests• Respond to various Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) complaints in a timely manner• Maintain reports and logs of employment claims and monitors and manages deadlines• Respond to subpoenas and record requests for personnel files and employment records• Partner with business unit leaders to develop and implement audit process to ensure adherence to compliance standards• Identify areas of improvement for compliance controls, develop action plans, and manage and oversee projects through to completion• Review local, state, and federal laws to identify gaps in company processes and implement compliant practices to ensure company compliance with related government agencies.• Partner with teams across business units to facilitate necessary training to Human Resources team and Company managers when applicable concerning employment regulations and corresponding HR policies and procedures.• Other duties, as assigned

    Qualifications and Skills:

    Ability to organize, prioritize daily work, and execute against deadlines

    Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to prepare formal responses as well as train others

    Ability to understand and leverage historical and broad organizational data and translate that into meaningful insights about employment risks

    Ability to effectively work in teams, communicate, and collaborate across multiple groups across the organization

    Possess sound analytical skills and the ability/willingness to make critical decisions in a timely manner

    Outstanding follow-through and attention to detail

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administrator, or degree, required

    3-5 years related experience

    Some travel required (10 - 15%)
