    Job Description

    Ooze Wholesale is a one-stop-shop for all types of smoke shop, dispensary, and convenience store products and accessories. We are the exclusive distributor of our House Brands: Ooze, King Palm wraps, Truweigh scales, Green Monkey Grinders, Loud Lock packaging, and Stache products, and our catalog offers thousands of products from leading industry brands as well as up-and-coming brands. 

     

    As an industry leader we have experienced exponential growth since we were founded in 2015. We have made the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies the past two years, and have recently renovated and expanded our Headquarters in Oak Park, MI. We have a brand-new front office and showroom to accommodate our growing team, and have more than tripled our warehouse space as we continue to add items to our catalog and bring new products to market. 

     

    As the Brand Manager for Ooze Wholesale, you will be joining during an exciting time of growth and change.  You will be a part of the core team responsible for building a new disruptor brand and reshaping the narrative for the cannabis and vaping industries. We have started to lay the groundwork for what this brand is and where it can go. Now we are looking for someone who is excited to build the vision with us. We are looking for a seasoned and innovative marketer with a passion for building a brand that aspires to move the industry forward, by speaking in a real way to today's consumer. As the Brand Manager for Ooze Wholesale, you will help shape key priorities for our brand - developing business plans, forming growth strategies, performing category analysis, executing projects, and mobilizing our organization to meet those objectives. 

      

    Overview of Responsibilities: 

    • Develop and rollout architecture, guidelines, customer segmentation and related brand strategy documents. 

    • Manage global asset calendar and be accountable for timely delivery of materials to the CFT. 

    • Partner cross-functionally to ensure product development, consumer marketing, digital marketing, PR, research, trade and sales execution is aligned with strategic and financial goals. 

    • Align with creative and product teams to plan, execute, monitor, and optimize brand identity and consistency. 

    • Assist the Creative Director in the grading and approval process of all global creative on assigned projects.

     

     

    Additional Responsibilities: 

    • Approach key challenges and opportunities from a brand positioning perspective with commercial solutions across a variety of levers to drive the business forward: Proposition (consumer-facing point of difference vs. competitors), Packaging, Pricing, Product (innovations, new pack types), Place (channels, planograms, etc.), and Promotion (secondary displays, other incentive tactics, comms/paid media strategy). 

    • Manage branding on all packaging components and liaise with International counterparts for alignment. 

    • Partner with marketing teams for strategic alignment on campaign assets and initiatives. 

    • Manage existing licensor relationships including day-to-day execution and follow-ups on requests. 

    • Partner with the Product Development on the PD road map and new product concepts to ensure the brand guard rails, attributes, and areas of opportunity are defined. 

    • Utilize data to identify and build strategy and business cases for brand initiatives across all levers for business growth, set goals and clear KPIs, and work with CFT to shepherd ideas from concept to execution.
