POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary role of the Social Media Manager is to lead marketing strategy and execution of programs designed to drive and facilitate engagement with both current and prospective Ashton Woods and Starlight Homes customers via social platforms through the creation and curation of relevant content while also ensuring direct feedback from our customers is heard, answered, and acted on in a way that supports the brand. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Develop and drive holistic social strategy designed to engage and connect with key audiences across all brands in multiple geographic markets
- Establish a social media strategic roadmap to define the approach and plan to drive continual growth and quantifiable improvement to channel performance, including follower growth, engagement, and increases in user generated content for the brand
- Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities across relevant platforms to connect with current and prospective customers
- Oversee internal and external resources to create demonstrable business impact via social channel marketing.
- Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers
- Direct the creation, curation and management of all published content (images, video and written).
- Ensure the team is monitoring, listening and responding to users while cultivating leads and providing warm-hand-offs to sales organization.
- Create connections with influencers and perform outreach across platforms.
- Oversee design and timely updates to evergreen content (i.e.: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, Blog, etc.), ensuring compliance to brand standards.
- Ideate, plan and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns. Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation, ensuring online reviews and monitored and responded to
- Analyze key metrics and continually evolve strategy as needed.
- Report on results and business impact of social channel performance and competitive activity to executive team.
- Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive marketing plan and build a social content calendar. Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics.
- Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
- Implement ongoing education to remain relevant as platforms and usage changes.
- Collaborate with other groups in the organization to ensure content is relevant and timely.
- Oversee and contribute to ongoing community management by interacting with audience with established voice of brands
- Work with subject matter experts to create, develop, and publish blog content for engagement and ongoing SEO.
- Mange and leverage external resources to support internal efforts as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5+ years experience in similar capacity in Marketing or PR role.
- Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media. (Provide links to managed profiles as examples).
- Proficient in content marketing (theory and application)
- Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
- Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios. Stays informed on upcoming platforms and new trends in social, looking for new ways to for our brands to connect with audiences.
- Possesses excellent writing and language skills and a strong creative eye.
- Has a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem and how to create relevant content for target audience.
- Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
- Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
- Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics.
