    Volunteer Coordinator

    Asian American Center of Frederick (“AACF”), an established community-based, non-profit organization, is searching for an organized and outgoing Volunteer Coordinator to plays a crucial role in the planning, development, and management of our volunteer programs. This position aims to fulfill the needs of different volunteer programs with AACF by recruiting, training, coordinating, and managing teams of volunteers in events and activities throughout Frederick County, MD. Through collaboration with the project managers and AACF leadership, Volunteer Coordinator will identify volunteer needs, match volunteers with appropriate roles, and ensure a positive and impactful volunteer experience within a variety of diverse communities of Frederick County, MD. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, community-driven, and most importantly passionate about AACF’s mission.

    Objective: To develop a strategy and structured process for all current and future volunteer activities, thereby increasing efficiency and impact of the organization.

    Responsibilities:

    collaboration with the program managers and AACF leadership to identify volunteer needs for current or future volunteer programs.

    Develop a schedule of all volunteer opportunities with AACF.

    Develop and implement strategies for volunteer recruitment to fulfill the needs of different volunteer programs, including Senior Companion Program, Retired & Senior Volunteer Program, AmeriCorps Volunteer Program, Maryland Corps Volunteer Program, etc.

    match volunteers with appropriate roles according to their skills and availability.

    Conduct volunteer registration, orientation and training sessions according to the program’s policy.

    Oversee volunteers’ activities and performance to ensure compliance with AACF’s code of conduct.

    Foster positive relationships with volunteers through effective communication and recognition.

    Monitor volunteer satisfaction and address any concerns or feedback.

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of volunteer information, hours, and activities.

    Verify calculations and prepare accurate supporting documents for stipend and reimbursement request according to the program’s policy.

    Submit payment request for stipend and reimbursement, monitor process status and answer related queries from the volunteers.

    Generate regular reports according to the program’s requirements.

    Organize and coordinate volunteer activities in outreach events.

    Represent AACF at community events to promote volunteer opportunities.

    Cultivate relationships with community partners to enhance volunteer recruitment efforts.

    Qualifications - Required:

    Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.

    Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

    Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Digital literacy and ability to use common computer applications.

    Possession of a valid driver’s license.

    Flexible schedule.

    Preferred:

    Knowledge of Frederick County.

    1-3 years of experience within non-profit organization and/or volunteer coordination.

    Associate degree in communications, marketing, business, or related fields.

    Knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.
