Position Summary
This is a full-time, exempt officer position that requires a minimum of fifteen years’ banking experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to lead a Team. This position includes an interim transition period, the length and structure of which will be determined by executive leadership. During this time, the President-Designate will collaborate closely with the current Branch President to learn the role, support branch leadership functions, and become familiar with the goals, objectives, and administration of the Branch. The President-Designate will assist and support the President as needed, typically for an estimated 6-12 month period to allow for a full transition of duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the Team in accordance with the Timberline Bank Vision and Core Values.
- Coordinate sales staff to serve existing customers as well as develop new banking relationships.
- Recruit and train sales staff in accordance with the Timberline Culture.
- Oversee sales and business development within the Bank, including leading the business bankers’ loan and deposit growth initiatives.
- Market and publicize new and existing products and services introduced by the Bank.
- Screen Branch Business Bankers’ loan requests for accuracy, integrity, and timeliness before presentation to Loan Committee.
- Work with Bank Management to set branch targets and analyze financial reports to monitor the Branch’s performance.
- Ensure the Branch’s financial performance and profitability goals/objectives are met.
- Oversee branch retail operations including new accounts, deposit operations, and front-line staff interactions, identifying and supporting sales opportunities to drive branch performance.
- Foster Team spirit within the Branch.
- Encourage Team cooperation and cohesion with the other Timberline Bank branches and departments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships in the community through active participation in local events and initiatives, while supporting and encouraging team involvement.
- Develop strong working relationships with the other Branch Presidents, Risk Management, Operations Teams, Executive Management and the Board of Directors.
- Competitively differentiate the Branch by delivering the desired customer experience.
- Ensure that the Branch maintains these high customer service standards.
- Resolve customer complaints in compliance with the Bank’s Customer Complaint Policy.
- Duties may be expanded on as experience and professional goals are achieved.
- Establish and lead the sales and business development efforts of the Bank.
- Follow established audit, security and compliance guidelines and Bank policies and procedures.
- General working knowledge of the compliance laws/regulations regarding deposit/ loan accounts.
- Knowledge of BSA laws/regulations regarding the collection/reporting of customers’ information.
- Provide quality customer service promptly and courteously at all times.
- Provide input for policies and procedures presented to the Board for approval.
Required Knowledge and Expertise
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree education or an equivalent in Financial Services courses.
- Minimum of fifteen years Banking experience.
- Must possess effective leadership skills, with a strong team-focused attitude.
- Must be a problem-solver, able to think and act quickly when the need arises.
- Must recognize the need for strict adherence to confidentiality requirements.
- Must possess a general working knowledge of the compliance laws/regulations governing banks.
- Must possess proven people, communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate initiative and strong motivation for success.
- Must be goal-oriented and have the Branch and the Bank’s best interest always in mind.

Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules, the salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Incentives based on Timberline Team goals may also be offered.
