About the Role:

Blount Construction Company, Inc. is looking for a skilled and dependable Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team in Buford, GA. This is a hands-on opportunity to play a critical role in delivering high-quality asphalt production that keeps our projects moving. Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor asphalt batch or drum mix plant equipment to produce quality asphalt mixes

Perform daily pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on plant machinery

Monitor material feed rates, temperatures, and mix designs to ensure product quality and consistency

Coordinate with site supervisors and crew to meet daily production schedules and material demands

Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and material usage reports

Troubleshoot and report mechanical issues to minimize downtime

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies

Requirements:

Prior experience operating an asphalt plant or heavy construction equipment strongly preferred

Familiarity with asphalt mix designs, aggregate materials, and liquid asphalt binders

Ability to read and interpret gauges, meters, and control panel displays

Strong mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality materials

Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning hours as needed
