    POSITION PROFILE

    To procure and/or expedite timely deliveries of fabric to support demand from external customers and Knoll manufacturing lines in order to meet sales, on-time and cost objectives for both Cut and Applied Textiles business.

     

    MANAGEMENT BY OBJECTIVES (MBO’S)

    Coordinate with the Purchasing Manager to develop plan supporting all goals of the department and organization including, but not limited to:

    • On-time Performance
    • Efficient Productivity
    • Economical Cost
    • 1st Quality Goods and Service
    • Customer Satisfaction

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Purchasing of assigned parts through MRP system
    • Monitor inventory levels to support Sales & Financial objectives
    • Daily interaction with Vendors on Purchase Orders and Finishing Process
    • Tactical Planning to support the demand flow production process
    • Manage and coordinate system set up for new product lines
    • Resolve invoice discrepancies with AP and reconcile parts shortages
    • Coordinate with KnollTextiles Technical team to resolve quality issues and handle disposition of non-conforming product
    • Data Entry (ETA updates, purchase order closeouts, item master revisions, cross reference numbers, data into various Excel spreadsheets, weekly update of open PO report)
    • Assist in scheduling process
    • Significant interaction with KnollTextiles Customer Service, Knoll manufacturing plants and Vendors
    • Communicate delivery issues with KnollTextiles Customer Service and Knoll manufacturing plants
    • Support lean manufacturing processes & continuous improvement
    • Ensure correct costing and price breaks are entered in the system and kept up to date
    • Analyze inventory turns and determine which products to assign to DNR (Do Not Re-Order)
    • Purchasing and scheduling of assigned applied parts through ATSO ordering system

    Required Experience

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • High School Diploma required, BS/BA preferred

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • 3-5 Years purchasing, inventory planning or production management experience
