About the Position
The Cloud Engineer will work under minimal supervision and be responsible for the day-to-day design, development and operations of CalOptima Health’s cloud platform (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory and additional services). The incumbent will be an experienced technical professional who has the capability to embrace and expand the existing cloud architecture. The incumbent will provide expertise as workloads are transitioned to the cloud while ensuring minimal business disruptions. The incumbent will be responsible for extensive coordination with respective internal support, engineering teams and various external partners and vendors on multiple projects and initiatives. Lastly, the incumbent will need to perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Information Technology Services (ITS) that may be outside of his/her technical area of expertise.

Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is required to stand and walk. Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time, as well as work at the computer for long periods. Employee is required to use hands and fingers, especially for typing on the computer and using the mouse. Must also be able to reach with hands and arms and must occasionally lift heavy office supply boxes. Employee must be able to talk and hear, particularly for regular communication on the phone.
Work Environment: While performing duties of job, employee is required to work in the computer room from time-to-time where the PBX system and servers are maintained and serviced. Noise levels from server fans may exceed 90 dB and room temperatures average 62 degrees F. Extended stays may require ear protection from the noise and a sweater/jacket to keep warm.
