    What do we need?

    We are seeking a proficient Medical Billing Clerk to join our growing team. The Clerk will perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing accounts, and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers.

    What will you provide?

    • Provides administrative support for assigned areas or team members
    • Loads new accounts into account loader
    • Faxes bills and other related correspondence
    • Organizes and distributes any fax correspondence to appropriate representatives
    • Maintains scanning and indexing of documents
    • Maintains documentation of efforts and required date in organizational database
    • Confers with insurance companies, employers, patients, etc., to retrieve information and status updates
    • Maintains neat and orderly workstation/fax/printing station and keeps areas fully stocked
    • Supports staff with miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned
    • Investigates claim information
    • Communicates daily with clients, payors, and employers to satisfy claim progression
    • Upholds confidentiality regarding protected health information and adhere to HIPPA regulations
    • Performs all other duties as assigned

    Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Prior administrative or customer service experience preferred; Healthcare experience also preferred

    The US base pay range for this position starts at $15.00 hourly. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary, a competitive benefits package is offered.
