What do we need?
We are seeking an experienced and proficient Financial Controller to lead our accounting team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for monitoring Aspirion’s overall financial health. This includes directing day-to-day accounting decisions, overseeing payroll, and analyzing financial statements in a multi-entity environment. The Financial Controller will produce thorough financial-status reports for senior leaders to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.
What will you provide?
- Maintain the company’s financial records based on business knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the organization and its structure
- Manage business filings, audits, and oversee third-party advisors
- Oversee the cash management and treasury function
- Establish, monitor and apply accounting policies and procedures to ensure that all financial transactions are executed and documented in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze the financial position of the company relative to budget and trends
- Achieve budget objectives of the finance function by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
- Prepare special reports by aggregating, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Direct the financial integration of acquired companies
- Provides leadership to the accounting team promoting a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability
- Ensure timely close of the company’s books
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of best practices in accounting, financial statement preparation and analysis
- Analytical problem solver with ability to identify issues, provide feedback and follow up to resolution
- Strong attention to detail with ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and projects, work to tight timeframes and achieve exceptional outcomes
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced evolving work environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
- Proven ability to use a consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize initiatives based on the evolving financial needs of the company, making strategic recommendations to company leadership
- Ability to work in and manage ambiguity, including dealing effectively with issues that do not always have a process, system, or solution in place
- Demonstrate alignment to our company's values, along with the capability to hire, lead, develop, and motivate a team
- Highly developed oral and written interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict management skills and the ability to work effectively with other people
- Self-starter with high initiative
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1 year in a controllership capacity
- CPA, CMA and/or MBA, preferred
- Proficient in Sage Intacct, NetSuite or similar ERP.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Adobe, and PowerPoint required. Working knowledge of PowerBI preferred.
- Proven leadership experience, including growing and motivating a team to deliver their best
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions and supporting a diverse workforce required
- Healthcare/medical billing industry experience preferred
