    HUMAN RESOURCE INTERN – PART TIME

    DULUTH, MINNESOTA | NON-REMOTE POSITION | NO RELOCATION ASSISTANCE OFFERED

    Aspis is seeking a part-time (10-15 hours per week) Human Resource intern to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for working with the operation supervisor on long-term projects that improve the Human Resources (HR) procedures of the company. This position will work directly with our leadership team helping enhance the HR procedures of Aspis. Duties will include:

    DUTIES:

    • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
    • Assist with employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
    • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leave and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
    • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
    • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
    • Undertake tasks around performance management
    • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
    • Maintain employee files and records in electronic form
    • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying for new perks and benefits, and organizing team-building activities
    • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
    • Help manage schedules of the executive team
    • Create HR processes and procedures for company practices
    • Identify opportunities for growth in Aspis HR operations
    • Answer phones and direct them to the appropriate person
    • Participate in team and departmental meetings and initiatives
    • Work with operation supervisor on long-term projects
    • Additional Duties as requested

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Sophomore and above with a major in Human Resources, HR Management, or a similar major
    • Passion for HR, hiring, and procedures
    • Integrity, accountability, assuming responsibility for the success of your projects
    • Analytical skills to resolve problems and think creatively
    • Verbal and written communication skills
    • Organizational skills to prioritize and plan work, multi-task, and meet schedules
    • Adaptable and flexible; able to think quickly in stressful situations
    • Aptitude and willingness to learn and show continuous engagement and learning of their position and duties
    • Ability to work onsite in Duluth, Minnesota

    This position has been designated as one that maintains our HUBZone certification requirements. The employee must live in a qualified HUBZone area and report to Aspis' Duluth, Minnesota, office.
