    We are in search of entry level candidates who will work from our Duluth, Minnesota offices.  The position has a very flexible schedule and is part time (approximately 10 hours per week).  This position is permitted to work from home or an alternate work site for short periods of time with management approval but is not a full-time remote position. Candidates are required to regularly be on site at our downtown Duluth, Minnesota office. The Graphic Designer supports the development of Aspis Marketing, Sales, and HR materials by partnering with fellow marketers and team members across the organization to gather requirements and produce outstanding designs that advance the Aspis brand. This includes graphics design work on collateral, presentations, emails, websites, landing pages, advertisements, direct mailers, brochures, newsletters, posters, and general communications for Aspis.

    Specific tasks may include:

    • Design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials.
    • Create these materials by using technology, including computer software programs primarily Adobe's Creative Suite—including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more.
    • Meet with management to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed communications to look like. 
    • Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications.
    • Select type size and style to enhance the readability of text and image.
    • Produce drafts for review by management and make revisions based on the feedback received.
    • Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect management specifications..
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications include:

    • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design or currently enrolled in a program.
    • Graphic design: 2 years (Preferred)
    • Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
    • A customer-centric mindset (internal and external customers).
    • Self-motivated, hardworking, and committed to self success.
    • Detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through.
    • Confident, creative, curious, and high energy.

    Travel and physical requirements include:

    • No travel outside of the Duluth MN-WI MSA is anticipated but subject to change based on business needs.
    • Movement of hands and fingers to utilize all functions of computers and phone technology.
    • Ability to sit and move.
    • Ability to communicate fluently and conversationally in English with internal and external customers.
    • Sitting or standing for approximately 2 hours per day.

    COMPENSATION Our compensation package for this position is based on an hourly rate and the position is FLSA non-exempt. Benefits include:
