Position Overview
The Associate Director, Clinical Consulting partners with Chief Medical Officers (CMOs), finance leaders, and cross-functional teams to design, implement, and monitor programs that improve affordability, quality, and clinical outcomes. This role drives enterprise-level clinical initiatives while ensuring alignment with financial and operational goals.
You will work in a highly collaborative, executive-facing environment with a lean team structure (partnering directly with senior leadership).
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Strategy
Lead national initiatives including Medical Leadership programs, CMO onboarding, and orientation efforts
Develop playbooks and frameworks supporting affordability, value-based contracting, and outlier billing strategies
Drive enterprise initiatives such as Extreme Length of Stay (XLOS) task forces
Ensure clinical programs align with financial and quality objectives
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with CMOs, CFOs, CEOs, and interdisciplinary teams to advance strategic initiatives
Organize and facilitate bi-monthly CMO meetings and executive discussions
Serve as liaison for complex case referrals and discharge planning strategies
Operational Excellence
Maintain documentation, communication plans, and program metrics
Monitor risks, resources, and budget considerations
Ensure updates and materials are accessible via SharePoint and collaboration platforms
Education & Mentorship
Support training programs, office hours, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Mentor innovation scholars and early-career professionals
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
7+ years of experience in healthcare program management, clinical operations, or healthcare consulting
5+ years of experience leading cross-functional or enterprise-level initiatives
Strong expertise in affordability strategies and value-based care models
Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership (CMO, CFO, CEO level)
Advanced facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (MPH, MHA, MBA, or related field)
Experience in Medicaid and Community & State operations
Background managing clinical task forces or system-wide initiatives
Experience with financial performance improvement initiatives in healthcare
Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities
