Job Title: Patient Service Representative

Location: WellMed at Irving (North) – 6161 N State Hwy 161, Irving, TX 75038
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Type: Temporary (05/2025- 07/2025)

Position Overview:

WellMed at Irving is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our dynamic team. This temporary role is essential in ensuring patients receive timely and accurate appointment scheduling through both incoming and outgoing calls. The representative will provide outstanding customer service while handling various front desk responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately obtain and verify all patient demographics, including correct name, date of birth, and insurance information

• Confirm and schedule appointments using internal scheduling systems

• Conduct check-in and check-out procedures for patients as needed

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

• Work collaboratively with a team of 6 call room personnel to handle high call volumes

• Assist with clerical tasks and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

• Manage patient inquiries efficiently with professionalism and courtesy

• Document interactions accurately and timely in the system

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Background in healthcare, clerical work, or data entry strongly preferred

• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus

• Previous call center or front desk experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
