    Job Description

    Job Title: Assembler

    Summary: Assembles metal products, standing at workstation or on shop floor.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Assembles parts and hardware by working from diagrams or blueprint requirements.
    • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
    • Operates various assembly tooling by hand, with power tools, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.
    • Applies marking requirements i.e. rubber stamping, silk-screening, I.D. labels, lazer marking.

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, parts list and specifications.
    • Ability to follow verbal/written tasks with limited supervision.
    • Ability to use hand tools, air tools and lightweight power tools.
    • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness while meeting productivity standards.
    • Follow instructions and take responsibility for your own actions.
    • Commits to long hours when necessary to reach goals.
    • Manages competing demands and deals with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
    • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness while monitoring your own work to ensure quality.
    • Observes safety and security procedures.
    • Is consistently at work and on time.

    Education and/or Experience

    GED or equivalent.

    Mechanical assembly preferred.

    Physical Demands

    Regularly required to walk or stand, use hands or fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crawl, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to climb or balance. Regularly required to lift and/or move 20 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds.
