Position Summary:
This position is responsible for basic assembly tasks in building standard conveyance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with local, state, federal, and company-established policies.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices, keep the work area clean, and implement health and environmental programs.
- Responsible for safety, quality, efficiency, housekeeping, and documentation of work performed.
- Verify assigned equipment is in safe operating condition and address equipment issues with the lead.
- Assist in process training and continuous improvement in designated areas.
- Achieve core KPIs, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
- Assemble mechanical conveyance systems with little supervision, including:
- Assist Level II assemblers in their installation, including cutting and pinning plastics.
- Rail installations.
- Belt splicing.
- Mechanical systems.
- Duct work.
- Measure and cut assembly materials within .030 degrees tolerance.
- Assist in crating as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance.
- Maintain exceptional attendance.
- Responsible for area housekeeping.
- Participate in continuous improvement processes.
- Perform similar positions on the floor as needed.
- Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a warehouse and uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures. May travel to jobsites both domestically and internationally; living accommodations in some foreign assignments may not meet expected U.S. standards. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand 90% of the shift, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis is required. Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Knowledge / Skills / Ability / Education / Experience:
- One (1) to two (2) years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with handheld tools, and the ability to read and interpret measuring tools including gauges and tape measures.
- Understand and demonstrate skills using basic hand and power tools such as grinders, cutters, benders, impact and rivet tools, drills, and circular saws.
- Experience using a forklift is required.
- High level of energy and motivation.
- Ability to read blueprints is preferred.
- Tool requirements per list are required.
- Math skills are preferred.
- Problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to operate a forklift is strongly preferred; previous experience is a plus.
- Must be able to perform job responsibilities at heights.
- Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holiday work required.
- Travel domestically and internationally ranging from 0-10% per year is preferred.
- Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment.
- Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
