Job Description
- An assembler needs to follow FIFO guidelines when proceeding to their next order.
- Read and understand the order correctly to start the assembly process (Top to bottom).
- Start with the external assembly process.
- Place Knob/lever on worktable
- Attach plastic washers and grease needs to be added.
- Place shims, plates, and springs. (Depending on requested item)
- Test handle to ensure proper mechanism function (verify that installation is not too tight nor to lose) Team lead can assist trainee with an accurate feel of a correct tightness)
- Add springs/spindles to the handle (make adjustments as needed)
- Proceed with assembling the inside component (Repeat 1-10 instruction)
- Trainees must complete Hour by Hour sheet, with dates, times, and discrepancies throughout the process. (This is to see how many locks the trainee completed in that hour, includes, trainee stepping away from the dept.)
- Emtek’s business model relies on the associate’s ability to work in various departments/jobs/roles. Associates will be moved within the various departments/jobs/roles, thereby enabling Emtek to react quickly to sustain our promised lead times to our customers.

Maintain a clean workstation throughout entire shift.
Only keep product needed.
Refill individual bins/ shared bins.
Training Stages:
Day 0-27: Must be able to complete 10 pairs per hour. ****
Day 27-55: Must be able to complete 15 pairs per hour.
Day 55-85: Must be able to complete 22 pairs per hour.
