Title: Assembly
Type: Temp to Perm
Location: Seagoville, 75159
**Pay: $19-$20 per hour **
Hours: Monday – Thursday 5:00 am - 3:00pm (some OT as needed)
Essential functions:
- Follow all safety and quality standards and procedures, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the table to be used. (Review the checklist.)
- Verify that the machine is tagged and locked out.
- Understand the quality policy.
- Review work order instructions before starting each project.
- Verify the tools and components to be used as per the drawings.
- Confirm the work order and part number for production.
- Check the control plan for furnace temperatures and load the furnace according to work instructions.
- Inspect one piece every hour and record the findings in the inspection report, following the control plan.
- If any material is out of specification, analyze the issue, communicate with the supervisor, and adhere to work instructions and the control plan.
- Submit the report and work order to the supervisor.
- Before ending your shift, take 10 minutes to clean the machine and report any natural scrap and defective pieces.
- Complete the scrap form according to work instructions.
- Submit the report and work order to the supervisor.
- If there is a second shift, communicate to the next operator what is currently in operation
Required Capabilities
- 1 year manufacturing experience.
- Experience using tape measure in a job setting
- Ability to work an assembly line
- Attention to detail
- Good hand/eye coordination
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to work in a manufacturing setting safely and follow all plant safety rules and practices. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the work area.
- Familiar with common hand tools and how to properly use them in a job setting (hammer, wrench, screwdrivers, pliers, putty knife, etc.)
- A background and drug screen will be administered
