We are seeking an experienced and reliable Assembly Technician/Nickel Plater to join our team. The ideal candidate is task-oriented, introspective, and comfortable with repetitive tasks in an environment with minimal interruptions. You should have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently, and experience in assembly or manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:
Follow detailed instructions to assemble components using hand and power tools
Prepare work by studying parts lists and gathering necessary materials
Ensure accurate assembly of all parts and components
Identify and report any defective parts or discrepancies
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform quality checks on components and finished products
Operate assembly machines such as drill presses and grinders
Working around/with chemicals in the plating process - Barrel and Rack plating
Document actions by completing production and quality forms
Assist in other areas of production as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedure manuals
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
Basic math skills for measurements and simple calculations
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and time-management skills, be able to work both independently and in a team setting, and maintain focus on detailed, repetitive tasks. Mechanical or construction experience is beneficial for this role.
