  • Responsibilities

    Assemble a variety of components into assemblies per instructions and blueprint drawings; inspect completed work.

    · Build and assemble components utilizing assembly procedures, blueprints, and written engineering instructions.

    · Adhere to proper specifications for subassemblies and assemblies by using inspection equipment (OD and ID micrometers, height gages, dial calipers, etc.), and reading blueprints.

    · Develop detailed assembly instructions for tasks performed.

    · Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.

    · Rework and/or repair assembled product according to engineering instructions.

    · Serve as backup to other members of the department.

    · Serve as a member of the QC Team, supporting coworkers and offering ideas for improvement.

    · Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area.

    · Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    · High school diploma or equivalent.

    · Experience or formal training as a machinist and/or inspector.

    · Experience in understanding engineering drawings.

    · Knowledge of standard measuring tools.

    Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of the technical aspects of the job.

    · Basic computer skills.

    · Accurate, conscientious, detail oriented.

    · Responsible; follows-through on tasks.

    · Professionalism, ability to maintain confidentiality

    · Flexible, willing to take on new tasks as requested.

    · Ability to work and set priorities independently.

    Salary info:

    $16 - $26 / hr
