    AIM team currently has part-time opportunities available for Physical Therapists to provide services in a K-12 school program. Previous school-based experience is a plus; and candidates must hold a valid PT - Physical Therapy license.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
    • Appropriate state licensure or ability to obtain state licensure
    • Ability to evaluate and treat students, helping them negotiate the school environment, improve school performance and engage with their peers
    • Serves as a member of the IEP team for students with physical therapy concerns
    • Facilitate goals and objectives per child's educational plan
    • Personal commitment to driving positive outcomes for students
    • Collaborative minded professional with strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work and build strong relationships with parents, teachers and school administrators
    • Experience working in schools or with children a plus, but not required

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Assessment
    • Direct instructional services
    • 504 or ARD attendance
    • Consultation with school staff or other AIM staff members. Qualifications include a graduate degree from a recognized, accredited college or university and certification from the TX Board of Physical Therapists.
