    Process Lead – Production Supervisor
    Location: Schenectady, NY (Onsite, First Shift: 7 AM–4 PM or 8 AM–5 PM)
    Compensation: $80,000–$93,000 base + ~8% profit-sharing bonus
    Reports to: Production Manager

The company employs approximately 11,000 people across North America and Europe and has a deep-rooted culture of recycling, innovation, and continuous improvement.

    The OpportunityThis is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role in a lean manufacturing environment. As a Process Lead, you’ll be responsible for driving operational efficiency across eight production machines, including a corrugator and seven converting lines. Your focus will be on continuous improvement, process optimization, and mentoring operators to elevate machine performance and product consistency.

    You will partner closely with the Asset Owner and Reliability Lead in a Line Centric Team (LCT) structure, helping to lead a team of 60 operators across three shifts. The first shift will be your primary focus.

    What You’ll Do

    Process Optimization & Performance Management

    • Analyze and improve standard processes to boost machinery efficiency

    • Apply Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to streamline production

    • Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs for machine performance and output consistency

    Team Development & Mentorship

    • Coach and train 15–20 first-shift operators

    • Create and maintain SOPs and training materials

    • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning

    Strategic Execution & Leadership

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute production strategies

    • Lead by example on the floor, addressing issues in real time

    • Contribute to succession planning and prepare for future leadership roles

    You’d Be a Great Fit If You Have:

    • Experience in manufacturing, especially in high-speed or unionized environments

    • Lean and Six Sigma certification (required)

    • Proven ability to coach and lead front-line operators

    • Strong organizational and communication skills

    • A self-starter mindset with a passion for process improvement

    • Comfort operating in a 24/7 plant environment with rotating team dynamics

    Bonus Points For:

    • Experience in corrugated packaging or paper products

    • Exposure to high-volume production machinery (e.g., corrugators, converting lines)

    • Familiarity with union workforce management
