    JOB SUMMARY

    Performs periodic & required maintenance and repair of all company property and equipment to maintain production, quality, and safety as directed by a supervisor, including but not limited to welding, electrical, vehicle, and/or machinery repair. Must have experience in troubleshooting and repairing

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Assistant Maintenance Technician supports continuous improvement initiatives and enhances safety, procedures, quality, and efficiency in their responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Knowledge of diesel engines, fuel management, hydraulic systems for industrial forklifts, computerized band saws, CNC oxy-fuel machines, blasters, and plasma machines.
    • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
    • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic pumps, control voltage circuits (12V to 120V), and PLCs.
    • Repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery and operate remote-controlled overhead cranes.
    • Inspect electrical equipment and wiring regularly, ensuring safety compliance and functionality.
    • Identify malfunctions and develop repair plans.
    • Perform maintenance on yard trucks, forklifts, trailers, saws, plasma units, conveyors, and overhead cranes as directed.
    • Collaborate with coworkers and maintain safety standards.
    • Demonstrate initiative and a positive, respectful attitude.
    • Maintain good attendance and be available for overtime and weekends as needed.
    • Complete other tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    High school diploma or Technical School Degree with appropriate mechanical and electrical skills.

    1-2 years of general maintenance & repair experience or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

    Extensive knowledge of and experience with equipment and automotive repair, including 230/460V/3/60 electrical systems and electric motors.

    Proficiency in identifying common electrical parts, reading a tape measure, understanding variable frequency drives, and using a Multi-Meter.

    Must be comfortable working at heights.
