    Department Information


    The Department of Marketing of the Tobin College of Business of St. John’s University is inviting applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level starting in Fall 2026. We seek expertise in consumer-technology interaction with a strong capacity for AI application with a focus on shaping our curriculum and training the next generation of students in AI-driven marketing strategy.

    The Marketing department offers the following degrees: B.S. in Marketing, M.S. in Marketing Intelligence, MBA concentration in Marketing Analytics, and MBA concentration in Marketing.     Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include maintaining an active research profile, teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, and contributing to the university through service. These activities are all essential for tenure and promotion at the Tobin College of Business. Our faculty engage in professional and program development, assessment, and service to the university and the broader community.

    Candidates should be familiar with AI tools and marketing technology and prepared to integrate this into their teaching and research. This integration is vital for preparing students for an AI-driven future and for advancing the field through innovation. Furthermore, candidates must be familiar with technology-supported learning pedagogy and have successfully taught using modalities such as face-to-face, online, or hybrid.


    Qualifications


    PhD in Marketing or a related discipline like Management Science with a concentration in Marketing from an AACSB-accredited institution. Candidates must show evidence of teaching excellence, professional and scholarly activity, online instruction, student engagement, and a strong commitment to service. Participation in department, college and university governance is expected.

    In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary range for this position is $145,000 - $155,000. St. John’s University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

  • Qualifications
    • Five to Eight years of consulting experience
    • 3-5 years of implementation experience
    • Demonstrated exceptional technical skills
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence and align client thinking and agenda
    • Strong written communication, verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to effectively able to navigate client's organization to facilitate the completion of project deliverables
    • Ability to solve complex and ambiguous technical problems using Kofax experience, creativity and sound judgment
    • Understanding and application of basic project management concepts, i.e. scope management, issue management, schedule management and client management
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
    • Ability to understand the functional design and technical project requirements
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Demonstrated understanding of complete Kofax implementation methodology
    • Oracle based skills in areas such as Oracle RDBMS architecture, design, and tuning; SQL, PL/SQL, and JAVA programming languages; software development, architecture, and customization
    • Working knowledge of one of the following enterprise applications: Oracle E-Business Suite (AP, AR, Payroll, HR, etc.) and SAP
    • Ability to design algorithms and code for efficiency and reuse
    • Ability to explain and defend technical decisions to a technical audience
    • Ability to understand and interpret complex technical documentation
    • Able to assist in business development activities including supporting definition of scope and estimation. Ability to effectively interact with prospects in a business development situation
    • Demonstrates ability to present the Kofax Solutions to multiple levels (CTO/CIO level, developer level, etc.) and areas (functional and technical) within a client organization
    • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
    • BS/BA or equivalent
    • Deeply knowledgeable in the capabilities and implementation of Kofax products for the specific solution area
    • Ability to play a leadership role within the Kofax Project Team
    • Understands the overall project plan and specific scope of projects
    • Ability to see the big picture when making decisions and able to estimate effort for implementation tasks
    • Demonstrates good judgment in making decisions
    • MBA is a plus
