    Job Description Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position exists to coordinate the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries sustained by student-athletes in 11 varsity sports. Colby Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. The salary range for this position is between $46,000 - $51,500. The college offers up to $2,000 in relocation reimbursement, to join our wonderful community.

    The Opportunity

    This is a 12-month, full-time, non-faculty position with an anticipated schedule of at least 40 hours per week. Evening, weekend, and travel commitments are required.

    Key Responsibilities

    Assisting with injury and illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, disposition, rehabilitation, and return to full competition of ColbyCC student athletes.

    Providing athletic training coverage of home events.

    Assisting with student athletes in preparing for therapy and recovery.

    Assisting with dressing and undressing/removing braces and/or supportive equipment.

    Communicating with athletic coaching staff regarding status of athletes injury.

    Salary and Benefits

    $46,000 – $51,500 annually, based on experience and education.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or a related field required.

    NATA Certification required.

    Licensed in the State of Kansas or the ability to become licensed within the first six months.

    Master’s degree in athletic training or a related field preferred.

    Experience in athletic training at the collegiate level preferred.
