    Job Description

    The Assistant BIM Consultant will have the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled team delivering and implementing BIM from strategy level to project level for global clients.

    Duties:

    To fulfill the duties of a consultant specializing in BIM design and management include:

    • Able to capture client requirements and develop a BIM strategy to meet those requirements.
    • Have a strong understanding of Civil/Architecture/Mechanical design and construction.
    • Author key BIM documentation and workflows aligned to industry best practice.
    • Be able to lead and manage the roll out and implementation of the above within a client organization, across a program of works and at project level.
    • Communicate the BIM strategy, documentation & workflows to stakeholders.
    • Be able to identify risks and appropriate mitigations.
    • Interface with clients, design teams and contractors implementing BIM methodologies and best practice from strategy level through to project delivery.
    • Facilitate stakeholder meetings & workshops.
    • Carry out structured reviews of project models.
    • Carry out clash detection of project models.
    • Analyze construction documentation.
    • Analyze and interpret data against project requirements.
    • Write detailed reports.
    • Support colleagues with project deliverables.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Turner &Townsend BIM documentation and processes.
    • Create and contribute to bid proposals.
    • Carry out research and development of emerging technologies.
    • Act as an ambassador championing the digital services delivered by Turner & Townsend.
    • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is preferred, or equivalent (Construction, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Data Analytics)
    • 2 years of post-graduate BIM management experience in the delivery of commercial real estate construction projects.
    • Data Center construction project management delivery experience is a plus.

    BIM/ technology/Software

    The Individual Will Possess the Following:
    Understanding of the emerging technology market that can support our clients & delivery.

    • A working knowledge of the industry BIM standards
    • An understanding of international BIM standards
    • Have a strong understanding of construction.
    • A working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities relevant to a BIM enabled project.
    • A working knowledge of the creation and maintenance of key BIM documentation
    • A working knowledge of a common data environment
    • A working knowledge of the roles and relationships associated with a BIM enabled project.
    • Working knowledge of a 3D modelling software such as Autodesk Revit is mandatory.
    • Have a strong understanding of construction documentation and have experience of being on site.
    • A working knowledge of 3D model interrogation and clash detection software such as Solibri, Navisworks, etc.
    • An inquisitive nature to research and learn new software skills.

    Additional Information

    **The salary range for this full-time role is $85K-$100K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications. **
