As the Assistant CAD Designer, you would use the Computer Aided Design software, Kaledo (all modules), and work with design team and CAD Designers in the execution of assigned design projects to create artwork for products and fabrications exclusive to Lands' End.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with CAD manager, CAD Designer and design in ascertaining their needs/vision for final output.

• Rework original artwork by changing layouts, color, size, rotation or placement of elements, using CAD software.

• Offer creative input in CAD development where appropriate to grow skills in creation of pattern/designs.

• Create colorways for artwork using Lands' End seasonal palettes.

• Contribute to Design presentations when necessary, providing prints using Kaledo, Photoshop and or Illustrator.

• Facilitate the communication of print/patterns to vendors, i.e. electronic transfer of information to fabric printers via e-mail or other electronic means.

• Under the direction of the CAD manager, Integrate hand drawings and computer skills to create prints for a specific area in design.

• Review strike-offs for registration and layout.

• Collaborate with Design, Merchandising and Sourcing to achieve production execution.

• Isolate and create a repeat in standard repeat size.

SKILLS

• Design or related degree, and 1+ years of experience in the CAD field.

• Highly proficient in Kaledo.

• Skills in creating original artwork, repeats, scales, textures knits & weaves and color theory. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Must be organized and self-motivated.

• Strong communication skills to work cross-functionally in a hybrid environment.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment.
