    The Delta Philadelphia Airport is hiring an Assistant Chief Engineer. The Assistant Chief Engineer plays a key role in ensuring compliance, developing maintenance procedures, and managing budgets. This is a "hands-on" maintenance role. Responsibilities: • Uses and teaches the methods, practices, tools, equipment, and materials used in a variety of building and mechanical trades. • Completes repairs and maintenance of furniture and fixtures within the hotel. Follows all safety and security measures. Reports or corrects any hazardous conditions observed immediately. Maintains guidelines for training checklists in the department. • Observe and follow procedures and protocols for emergencies. Diagnoses malfunctions and defects in mechanical and similar equipment and determines adequate corrective measures. • Assigns and supervises the work of the Engineering team. • Communicates effectively with staff and leadership. Communicates professionally with guests and coworkers. • Assists with interviewing and selecting new maintenance staff. • Oversees the maintenance staff, including discipline and retraining when necessary, in conjunction with handbook policies and procedures. • Conducts quality inspections of the property and makes recommendations regarding safety, security, and facility improvements. • Responds to work orders in a timely manner. • Trains all maintenance staff. Qualifications: • Maintains 5+ years of experience as a maintenance engineer or technician, or similar position, preferably in a hotel/lodging environment.
