    Join our team at the Marriott Seattle Airport as our Assistant Chief Engineer. The hotel assistant chief engineer helps lead the engineering department, overseeing building maintenance, managing staff, and ensuring life safety compliance. Key duties include supervising daily repairs, directing preventive maintenance programs, and responding to guest or facility emergencies. Responsibilities: Operations & Maintenance: Monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; manage work orders and routine facility inspections. Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule engineering staff in the absence of the Chief Engineer. Safety & Compliance: Maintain life safety systems (fire alarms, emergency generators) and adhere to OSHA and local building codes. Guest Satisfaction: Resolve guest maintenance complaints quickly to maintain high service standards. Project & Vendor Coordination: Assist with property renovations, track inventory, and oversee outside contractors. Qualifications: Experience: 3 to 5 years of building maintenance or facilities experience, with previous hospitality/hotel background preferred. Education: High school diploma or GED; trade school coursework or certifications (HVAC, EPA, or OSHA) are a strong plus. Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, basic computer proficiency, and effective communication skills. Physical & Schedule Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. Compensation: $33.54 hourly
