SUPERVISOR: Director SUMMARY: Manage the center’s policies and procedures adherence, inclusive of administrative, supervision, and compliance duties. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following tasks describe the basic functions of the job and represent the type of work performed. They do not constitute an exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities performed on the job. PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT • Oversee the daily operations of the center according to the center’s policies and procedures. • Supervise student-related policies and procedures, parent communication, teacher communication, daily attendance, health and safety procedures and policies. [Daily] • Supervise and evaluate maintenance of students’ attendance, health, and learning progress records. [Daily] • Supervise staff-related policies, staff communication, health and safety procedures and policies. [Daily] • Manage daily and weekly staff schedule. [Daily] • Attend and participate in professional development trainings. [According to PD plan] • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily] COMPLIANCE OVERSIGHT
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of all federal, state, and county regulations related to childcare. [Ongoing] • Ensure adherence and compliance with all federal, state, and county regulations related to childcare at the center and each classroom. [Daily] • Oversee and address promptly classroom environment for regulations, health and safety compliance. [Ongoing] • Maintain all required documentation related to compliance with all federal, state, and county code and regulations. [Ongoing] STAFF MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION • Manage center staff, including delegating work, directing work, assigning work, and resolving problems. Provide feedback to staff and administration regaining adherence to policies and procedures, as well as regulations. [Daily] • Address staff concerns and conflicts in collaboration with the center’s administration. [Per need] • Assist HR Manager in new hire onboarding, training, and maintenance of records. [Per need] • May observe teachers, assistants, and/or para-educators’ performance to provide input for annual evaluations completed by the Coach and/or Director. [Daily] PROVIDE CLIENT SUPPORT • Manage maintenance of client communication for new and enrolled students. [Daily] • Conduct center’s tour and orientation to new clients. [Per need] • Address client concerns and conflicts in collaboration with the center’s administration. [Per need] PROVIDE CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION SUPPORT • Support students’ individual learning and care plans and accommodations by collaborating with classroom teachers and special education service providers. Attend licensing meetings with the school nurse and other service providers. [Per need] • When necessary, oversee the day-to-day operation of a classroom such as preparing class materials and toys, student discipline, addressing parent complaints, daily attendance, daily anecdotes/progress notes, correspondence books, proper food handling and sanitation practices, tending to student’s personal needs, etc. • Maintain departments’ materials and supplies lists as needed and according to school and regulations guidelines. [Per need] MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor degree. • Foundational knowledge and skills in office equipment and software. • Excellent interpersonal relations skills. • Ability to follow all Federal and State licensing rules and regulations. • Advanced verbal and written communication skills. • Advanced ability for creativity, critical thinking problem solution. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Ability to work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary special education team, as well as with other professionals. • Ability to implement behavior modification techniques. • Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations. • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire. REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired. • Colorado Department of Human Services Early Childhood Teacher certification. Colorado Shines PDIS 3.0 Level 3. • All mandated by Colorado Department of Human Services and Early Childhood Department trainings and certifications. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. • Three (3) years of early childhood teaching experience. • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Multitasking. • Heavy physical effort. • Lifting up to fifty (50) pounds. • Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and climbing. • Eye/hand coordination. • Visual concentration. • Prolonged standing and walking. Overhead work. • Occasional lifting, pulling, and/or pushing. • May be required to assist students with custodial needs (feeding, toilet). • May work outdoors when monitoring student activities. • Normal school environment that may include potential outbursts of behavior.
