As an Assistant Construction Manager, you'll be boots-on-the-ground every day. This is not a desk job, your office is the job site. You'll be the eyes and ears of the project: supporting field operations, coordinating subcontractors, and keeping construction activities on schedule and up to standard. Working across active job sites throughout the Philadelphia area, you'll be a hands-on part of the project team at every stage of the build. Compensation • Base Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 • Project-based bonuses and company performance bonuses • Paid Time Off Responsibilities: • Guide daily job site operations to keep construction activities organized, productive, and aligned with project plans • Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and deliveries to ensure the site operates efficiently • Prepare short-term construction schedules and look-ahead plans to support project progress • Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain timelines and adjust schedules when necessary • Monitor job site safety and address potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment • Inspect work regularly to ensure craftsmanship meets company standards and project specifications • Track site progress, maintain project documentation, and record daily job site updates • Assist with identifying field adjustments and communicate potential changes to the Project Manager • Support coordination between subcontractors, vendors, and project leadership when questions or challenges arise • Help ensure the proper sequencing of trades so each phase of construction moves forward smoothly • Identify issues in the field and develop practical solutions to avoid delays • Participate in punch list completion and help ensure projects are completed to a high standard Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience working in construction supervision, site coordination, or a similar field-based role • Comfortable overseeing job site activity and working with multiple trades at once • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities • Highly organized with a strong eye for detail • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites around Philadelphia • Candidates located within roughly 30 minutes of the city are strongly preferred Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000
