    Job Description

    AECOM Hunt is looking for talented Assistant Construction Project Managers to join our project team in Jacksonville, FL.

    • Assists the Project Management team with management administration construction project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.
    • Receive moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor.
    • Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training.
    • Employee handles some unusual situations independently.
    • Works closely with Digital Technology team and may use modelling software.
    • Interacts with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.
    • Assists with and monitors change orders.
    • May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
    • Reviews project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.
    • Works with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
    • Attends meetings and reports on project tasks as needed.
    • May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.

    _ Minimum Requirements:_

    • BA/BS Construction Management, Engineering or similar curriculum and 2 years of commercial construction related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    _ Preferred Qualifications:_

    • Prior experience in commercial construction from a large general contractor.
    • Experience in planning, coordinating, and overseeing phases of the construction project from inception to closeout.
    • Experience with project documentation, including RFI, submittals, change orders and contracts.
    • Experience with project expenditures, cost forecasting and reporting, subcontractor invoicing and budget variances to ensure cost control.
    • Materials coordination and procurement .
    • Site safety inspection experience.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
    • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is highly desirable.
    • Experience with:
      • MEP/FP systems
      • Low voltage systems
