Assistant Construction Superintendent - Construction - Base Salary to 140k/year - Charlottesville, VA

• Our client is a vertically integrated real estate company offering expertise in property management, investment management, development & construction globally. They are one of the largest rental housing operators and developers in the US and one of the largest global investment management companies delivering industry-leading services to investors, clients, and residents.
• They are currently seeking an Assistant Construction Superintendent for a $200M multi-family project currently under construction, assisting the Superintendent with mechanical trades, interior and exterior finishes and wood framing.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Superintendent in daily on-site supervision of subcontractors, vendors, and laborers.
  
• Coordinate field activities to maintain project schedule and ensure efficient workflow.
  
• Monitor progress and proactively address delays or issues affecting schedule or quality.
  
• Conduct daily walkthroughs to confirm work aligns with plans, specifications, and building codes.
  
• Support inspections at all phases of construction, including framing, MEP rough-in, finishes, and final punch.
  
• Identify and document deficiencies; follow up with subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
  
• Review shop drawings, product data, and submittals when required.
  
• Maintain daily logs, photos, and field reports.
  
• Support RFI and change order documentation as needed.
  
• Manage tracking of deliveries, inspections, and subcontractor progress.
  
• Assist in enforcing jobsite safety protocols, PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations.
  
• Conduct or support regular safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  
• Maintain site cleanliness and organization to promote safe working conditions.

Qualifications:

• Must have multi-family ground up construction experience
  
• Knowledge of wood framing
  
• Experience with MEP and Mechanical Trades
  
• Experience with interior and exterior finishes

Compensation:

• Base salary to 140k/year
