The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for working under the direction of the Superintendent to manage home building schedules, trade partner coordination, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction Responsibilities: • I will walk each home assigned on a daily basis to ensure the quality of workmanship, ensure all work is in accordance with plans and specifications, and determine the status as it compares to the production schedule • I will aid Superintendents to ensure subcontractors are managed and continually evaluated on quality, safety, scheduling, and cost control measures • I will schedule and walk inspections with inspectors • I will conduct community cleanliness inspections and ensure communities and job sites are free of trash and waste materials • I will execute duties including trash pickup, materials management, cleaning, painting, sweeping, and weed pulling as required to maintain an outstanding community appearance • I will manage construction quality and perform quality control inspections • I will assist the Superintendent in managing construction materials to help prevent damage, waste, and theft • I will actively develop knowledge of building codes, construction materials, methodologies, terminology, and construction scheduling • I will develop and maintain positive relations with subcontractors and homeowners Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred • Six months to 2 years of related construction experience required • Ability to effectively utilize company applications on a smartphone, tablet, and laptop • Proficiency with industry-standard email, spreadsheet, and word-processing software • Must possess excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills • Must be able to clearly explain and resolve issues on the job site to trade partners, suppliers, inspectors, other project managers, and supervisors • Commitment to customer satisfaction • Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; climb, balance and stoop, crouch or crawl; walk up and down stairs; climb ladders; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to sweep, shovel, hammer, and use a cordless drill Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000 yearly
