ECL Entertainment is a growing gaming company with locations in Wyoming and Kentucky. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Controller to join our dynamic accounting team and support our financial operations as we continue to grow.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Controller will play a crucial role in the finance department, assisting the Director of Finance in managing the financial operations of the company. This position involves overseeing monthly financial reporting, maintaining accounting records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of financial practices and principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Finance in managing all aspects of the accounting function, including accounts payable and general ledger.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared and accurate.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
- Prepare schedules and reports as needed for management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
