Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Assistant Controller to lead our accounting team. In this key role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership including CEO, President and CFO serving as a strategic partner in supporting the organization’ success. The ideal candidate is a confident and effective leader with a professional presence and a hands-on and roll up your sleeves approach. Position requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5-7+ years of experience in an accounting leadership role, along with a relevant accounting degree or professional certification.
Essential Job Functions:
Extensive experience in full-charge, accrual-based bookkeeping, along with 5-7+ years of strong managerial leadership and a proven ability to lead, mentor, and support accounting professionals.
Lead Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across billing, collections, payables, and disbursements, while overseeing companywide credit card management and reconciliations.
Process payroll in coordination with HR, serving as a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries.
Serve as a trusted liaison to department leaders across the organization, delivering high-quality financial leadership and support with a strong service-oriented approach to clients.
Maintain and update QuickBooks Desktop to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Monitor and analyze cash flow to support strategic financial decision-making, while overseeing budgets, banking relationships, and financial reporting.
Execute bank reconciliations and provide financial reporting as directed by leadership.
Ensure compliance by managing tax filings, business licenses, and regulatory requirements.

$90,000.00 – $115,000.00 - DOE
