    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the Head Cook in preparing high-quality meals and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. This position is perfect for individuals looking to advance their culinary skills while contributing to a dynamic kitchen team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Assist in the preparation and cooking of daily meals according to recipes and instructions from the Head Cook/Chef.
    - Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as directed to ensure efficiency during meal preparation.
    - Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
    - Support the cooking team in maintaining food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
    - Assist with plating and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the establishment’s quality and aesthetic standards.
    - Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies and notifying the Head Cook of low stock levels.
    - Participate in menu planning and development by providing input based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
    - Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
    - Undertake cleaning duties, including washing pots, pans, utensils, and surfaces, to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
    - Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required to enhance culinary skills and adhere to best practices.

    Qualifications:

    - Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required; entry-level candidates are welcome.
    - Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
    - Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the direction of the Head Cook/Chef.
    - Strong teamwork and communication skills.
    - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    - Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
    - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Physical Requirements:

    - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
    - Manual dexterity for handling kitchen tools and equipment.
